I am a psychotherapist based in NYC. I utilize a strengths-based approach to help you reconnect with your internal resilience. In therapy, we will talk not just about your “problems,” but also the unique strengths you possess that will help you thrive.
I have a strong passion for working with women across the lifespan on issues surrounding body image, eating disorders, fertility, pregnancy, motherhood, relationships, self-esteem, and unresolved childhood trauma. I have a core belief in the resilience of the human spirit and an unflinching optimism in others.
Some of my past professional experiences include grief counseling as an end-of-life social worker, advocacy to South Asian domestic violence survivors, and providing case management to homeless individuals with severe mental illness.
Commitment to Diversity
As a lifelong New Yorker, this city has taught me to appreciate diversity from all walks of life. And, growing up working-class, female, and as a person of color, I have become intimately aware of the unique power dynamics interwoven into any relationship. In therapy, we will also discuss the therapeutic relationship as well as power dynamics that enter the space that can affect treatment.
I affirm racial, gender, sexual, and religious diversity. I am always willing to learn from my clients’ lived experiences – even when they are different from my own. You are the architect of your life story. I am humbled to be a trusted confidante in your healing journey.
